Friendly Reminders & Guidelines

  • Come to CAREsessions with an open mind and willingness to listen, learn and grow with each other :)

  • Please arrive on time for your CAREsessions and if you are unable to make a session please let the CAREleaders know at least 24 hours in advance. You can email us: carespaces.careleaders@gmail.com

  • Be respectful in conduct towards everyone in the conversation and refrain from using derogatory and/or offensive language.

  • Try to ask before bringing up potentially triggering subjects (especially regarding protected classes such as: gender/sexual orientation/caste/class/race/color/religious beliefs/national origin/disability status/familial status).

  • CAREsessions are a safe space. Therefore if anyone in the CAREsession crosses a boundary either the Peer (person receiving support) or the CAREleader(s) have the right to end a CAREsession.

  • Communication between CAREleader(s) and the Peer should ONLY be via carespaces.careleaders@gmail.com. If you know your CAREleader(s) outside of the CAREsession context, please avoid discussing CAREsession topics outside of the session.

  • This is a professional and friendly environment and we encourage camaraderie, however we ask that the Peer and designated CAREleader(s) maintain a professional relationship and refrain from a close personal/romantic relationship for the duration of time both parties participate in CAREsessions with each other.

  • If a close personal/romantic relationship is to arise, we ask you to please inform a Peer Support Lead (Sachin/Sutikshna) via peers.carespaces@gmail.com, who will keep this information confidential but may recommend switching CAREleader(s)/Peer.
